Smitty Designs was started in 2008 by Ted Smith with the goal of developing outstanding websites for small business.  Ted previously started a web deisgn company during the early part of this decade when the Internet was just emerging from the dot com bust.  That endeavor was very successful, but Ted chose to work on his Master's Degree and focus on his newborn daughter at the time.  However, the urge to create and start a new business was strong, so he started Smitty Designs.
